Seems to amount to a diner with a pretty pain job and nice leather seating. I didn't take pictures of the seating area but you walk into a dark greeting area and immediately see these giant captain chairs sitting around the bar-top to the left and tall dark booths in the right. For one person I was seated in the "lounge" area which was much bright and had a view of the patio seating. Seating was comfortable. I expect something different from the menu, when I opened it was surprised to see basic diner food. How hard can that be to mess up? Apparently more so that I thought. I ordered the chicken fried steak and eggs with hashbrowns and toast. It arrived quickly and looked good, but OMG the salt! I couldn't finish anything but the toast! I told the server it was a little too salty but he didn't respond or offer to reduce or remake... Nothing to fix the issue. That surprised me, otherwise he was a great server. Prompt with my bloody Mary and made it exceptionally well, friendly, patient as I told him I'd be waiting a while to order food, and that I'd be there a while... Overall NOT impressed by what I thought I'd be walking into, expected a higher quality of food and run out early by the rancid smell of burning cooking oil. Maybe this place is best suited for cocktails and appetizers (saw the shrimp cocktail and that looked amazing!)

I came in for a solo meal before a concert and had a really great experience thanks to my server, Jill. She was incredibly personable, attentive, and made me feel genuinely welcome. I had the Caesar salad and French onion soup—both were delicious and hit the spot. One thing that stood out, though, was the manager on duty. She spent most of the time by the bar/expo talking loudly and occasionally yelling “Oscar,” which was a bit distracting and took away from the relaxing vibe I was hoping for. Still, Jill’s excellent service made a big difference, and I really appreciated her warmth and professionalism.

We stayed at this hotel Embassy Suites at Pioneer Square at the end of March 28th the Friday of when Supercross was in town. We had reservations, seated immediately with complementary veggies/ meat/ bread. My mom and her friend who been here before asked we didn’t order these? We didn’t get this before? Our fantastic top notch server Alan replied, we don’t, they’re on me. He was so personal, knew the menu so well and made ordering food as if we were friends. He was so good at checking in the table, getting to know us, making jokes. The food was absolutely amazing. I had the chicken parm, but had bites of the chicken Alfredo, spaghetti with meat sauce and the shrimp scampi ALL of it was delicious!! We weren’t planning on dessert but Alan talked us into it and his recommendations did not disappoint. Alan even at one point gave my daughter and a friend’s son a bunch of Pokemon cards! We learned about him and his family. Working in the customer service industry myself, I left WOW’d. The service and food was so good when came back this past weekend travelling from Nanaimo British Columbia, staying at the same hotel, I knew I wanted to come back and start our weekend off right. I tried booking a reservation, unfortunately they don’t accept anything less than a group of 6, but they did say they could get us in. We didn’t see Alan when we came in, but were told to find our seat in the lounge by a host, we asked for a high chair, no help, when thought someone was coming they moved us to a booth, it wasn’t cleaned so we stood awkwardly for a few minutes, then sat for another 5-8 mins waiting for waters and be greeted, Finally Joe greeted use asking if anyone helped us yet and we said no and was prompt to serve! Took our orders as we knew exactly what we wanted after talking how good it was for over a month, we all Ordered the same thing! At this point Alan seen us and was amazing and told us to let him know of anything we need he’s got us. Joe brought us our meals and was friendly throughout our stay but, he’s no Alan (sorry Joe!) I don’t know how Alan works so hard and is busy, but manages to make the experience another level. We truly left looking forward to our trips likely next year when back here just eat here and see Alan. You guys have an excellent employee here and he provides next level customer service, that I have never seen before. Out next time we are here I’m making sure we request him! I attached a few pics of the food!

This restaurant is more of a quiet, date night type of atmosphere. It’s dark and moody, but not in a bad way. Although this place was highly recommended, I was slightly disappointed with the food. Big portions but not big on the flavor. We left with the majority of our food in boxes. The kid menu is tricky. The portions are huge and served on a hot, hot dish.
