After a long day exploring the Atlanta Botanical Garden, my cousin, her husband visiting from South Africa, and I decided to unwind at 5 Church Atlanta in Midtown for a quick dinner and cocktails. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by a bubbly host who made us feel welcome. We were seated at one of the high tables by the bar, which set a lively atmosphere for our evening. Our server, Isabella, came over promptly to take our drink orders. I opted for my go-to drink, the “Lemon Drop” made with Don Julio Reposado tequila, while my cousin's husband chose an “Old-Fashioned.” Since my cousin prefers non-alcoholic beverages, she chose a refreshing virgin Mojito. For dinner, Isabella recommended the “Cacio e Pepe” for me, and it did not disappoint—delicious and perfectly seasoned. My cousin ordered the “Lemon Thyme Roasted Chicken,” and her husband had the “Four Seasons Salmon.” We also shared some sides: “French Fries with Truffle and Parmesan” and “Brussels Sprouts,” both of which complemented our meals beautifully. We did encounter a small hiccup with my food, but the manager, Danielle, handled the situation with remarkable professionalism and sincerity. Her attention to customer service truly stood out; she was apologetic and proactive in resolving the issue, making sure I felt heard throughout the process. It's this kind of exceptional service that is truly needed in the dining industry. Overall, our experience at 5 Church Atlanta was delightful, thanks to the welcoming atmosphere and the attentive staff. I want to extend my gratitude to both Isabella and Danielle for making our visit a memorable one. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for great food and outstanding service!

I hadn’t made a review in a while but this place was so good that I had to write! Special shout out to our amazing waitress Valencia. She is well versed in all things 5Church. She was gracious and her suggestions were spot on. Forgive me for not having pictures of the appetizers but I was hungry🤭. The Scent of a Woman (drink) is a perfectly sweet/tart combination. All the entrees were delicious and cooked to perfection. My salmon was lightly grilled with a crunchy outer layer on a bed of tomatoes with green wasabi paste (delicious). The sushi tots as an appetizer was something new and worth a one time try.

Overall okay experience. The service was very slow even getting there a little after they opened with many empty tables. Food was good and hot. Only negative experience was our breakfast potatoes that did not mention any bacon bits on menu. When we ordered and started eating, we noticed the bacon bits in the dish and it was not ideal because he was vegetarian. Please specifically state what is in the dish or have server(s) ask if table has allergies or dish restrictions.

WEEKEND BRUNCH - $58.81 w/ 20% gratuity included. All non-alcoholic & alcoholic drinks are all sold separately. Ok food but great service. I only docked one star because there was only artificially flavored syrup for the pancakes, waffles, and French toast. I prefer REAL 100% maple syrup. Not the fake artificially flavored stuff.

After a busy day celebrating a birthday. We chose to conclude the evening at Five Church Midtown for the final birthday meal. A stylish and contemporary venue known for its vibrant ambiance and culinary flair. Upon arrival, we were promptly greeted by the hostess and, at our request, seated outside without delay—a pleasant start to what we anticipated would be a memorable dining experience. Service began efficiently, with both our server and a server assistant arriving quickly to take our appetizer orders. We did notice immediately that the menu had undergone some changes since our last visit—something one of our guests pointed out. Our server confirmed this when asked about several missing items, indicating that the menu had recently been updated. For starters, we enjoyed the crab dip and a Caesar salad. The dip was flavorful, and the Caesar salad was impressively large—perfect for sharing among a small group. However, just as we wrapped up our appetizers, a sudden rain prompted us to request a move indoors. The transition was smooth and timely, and we were quickly relocated to a comfortable booth. Entrées arrived approximately 20 minutes later. I ordered the roasted chicken served atop a bed of potato gnocchi and a green herb sauce. My companions selected the fish entrée and the salmon, accompanied by side dishes of Brussels sprouts and whipped mashed potatoes. The side dishes were the standout of the evening: the Brussels sprouts were fresh, tender, and full of flavor, while the whipped potatoes were smooth, creamy, and needed no enhancements. The fish was well-prepared—moist, delicately seasoned, and beautifully garnished. Unfortunately, the same could not be said for the other dishes. The roasted chicken was dry and tough, lacking harmony with the gnocchi and accompanying sauce. I requested an additional sauce to help moisten the dish, but ultimately left more than half uneaten. The salmon was also overcooked despite being requested medium-well. It was paired with small, crispy diced potatoes atop the same green sauce, which resulted in a pasty, unbalanced texture that did not complement the salmon. After expressing our concerns to our server, we were approached by Danielle, the manager on duty. Her demeanor was professional, understanding, and solution-oriented. While we were not seeking any complimentary items—only substitutions—she graciously offered to remake the salmon and substitute the diced potatoes with the whipped variety. She also offered to replace my chicken, though I declined, having already lost my appetite. To ensure our experience ended on a positive note, Danielle insisted on providing complimentary desserts, including cheesecake and sorbet. While the desserts were not particularly memorable, they were pleasant enough and arrived promptly. Danielle’s attentive follow-up, paired with our server’s professionalism (especially commendable as she appeared to be in training), ensured that we felt heard and appreciated. In closing, while the culinary execution of some dishes fell short, the level of customer service—especially from Danielle—was exceptional. Her sincere commitment to guest satisfaction salvaged what could have been a disappointing experience. Though I remain unsure about a return visit solely for the food, the service certainly makes a strong case for giving Five Church Midtown another try.
