I took my 3 year old daughter here for one of the mini camps (2-3yr old camp). My daughter had never been to any type of dance class and loved it here. The instructor, Megan, was great with the kids. She did a good job of mixing in some dance with fun Rapunzel story time. You know it's a good time when we get home and my daughter asks "Daddy when can we go to ballet again?"

My daughter has attended Fairytale Ballet for about a year or so now. She missed the winter session and was not happy about that at all. Teacher Liz is great with the 3-5 year Olds. Her redirection is awesome with them or just letting them have the time that they need to get use to class and following directions. My daughter tells everyone about ballet and how she loves her ballet friends and teacher. I highly recommend Fairytale Ballet in Wicker park.

We have been sending our daughter here for a couple of years now. She absolutely loves the ballet classes. Each week is a different theme and they dress up. Because of our schedule we tried to send her to a different ballet studio but she did not like it and she wanted to come back to a fairytale ballet. The teachers are great!!!

I’ve been taking my daughter here for ballet and tap classes for a couple years now and we also do the summer camps. She loves going each week and always wants to do more and more camps. All the instructors have been great and they are very accommodating with makeups. There are new themes each week which makes it fun and we always love coming into the studio for watch week. The performance in the spring was a lot of fun to watch and prepare for.

So this place is a bit confusing because it from the outside it is hard to tell if it is still in business or not. When classes are not in session, it's locked and the lights are off. There's no receptionist or anything or anyone on site, as once I tried to drop in to see about summer camp. So I read some reviews and signed up for camp online, and honestly just kind of showed up the first day to see what happened. Someone came and unlocked the door at the appointed time, and other little girls showed up, and for ten minutes there was a flurry of activity and then from the outside all appeared quiet again as the dancers went back into the studio. The studio is lovely and the instructors have all been so kind and patient to my 3-year-old. She loved the Disney- themed summer camp sessions that also included crafts and costumes, and she just started taking a fall class with Ballerina Catie and she adores her. The class starts with a warm-up/stretches, then they at some point read a book that serves as the theme of the day, and props and costumes go along with it. Today was Little Red Riding Hood. I can't speak for the upper classes or how "ballet" it all is but i can tell you my kiddo is working on her coordination and having a ball doing it.
