If you're looking for a tiki bar in the Denver area, try this spot. The interior is a classic approach to tiki, and it succeeds. When you walk through the doors, your adventure into escapism begins. The people here are very friendly and accommodating. Syrups, garnishes, and juices are made and prepared in-house daily. The drinks are well balanced and taste good as a result. Food is available, and both finger foods and larger servings are offered. The food is tasty and pairs well with the cocktails. It's probably best to make reservations, especially going into the weekend. Both bar top and tables are offered, so walk in, grab a seat, and enjoy! Cheers!

Great service. Seated in less than a minute. Received menu upon entrance. Got water shortly after being seated. Had the frozen chi chi and a cucumber salad. The drink was excellent. Cucumber salad was good. Would come back again.

During the month of October, they turned this place into a spooky paradise, and it was to die for! The ambiance is inviting with two outdoor patios very spacious. The food and drinks were amazing and beautifully crafted. We tried almost every drink from the Halloween menu. The poke nachos were out of this world. Highly recommend on top of the volcano fries and the guava cheesecake. Everuthing on the menu looked enticing. Definitely want to come back to try more! Parking can be a little tricky as it's right off Broadway. Also reservations are strongly encouraged as it books up quite fast.

We've been to several tiki bars around the US (particularly in CA) and Adrift is the best one. Also in general the best bar in the area. In a landlocked state a tiki bar makes so much sense to let you "escape" to a tropical islandly place, and it always reminds us of Hawaii. We are here frequently and feel so lucky to be just a 15 min walk from here! The drinks are amazing, strong and full of complex flavors, and they often add new ones to mix up the menu depending on the season. Not just rum drinks but also tequila, mezcal, whiskey, gin. Best painkiller I have found (better than Soggy Dollar). Atmosphere and music are great with a classy Hawaiian/nautical vibe, what you'd expect from a tiki bar. What sets Adrift apart is it also has delicious food. Highly recommend the spam musubi and the island bowl with tofu! They had taken their food entrees away to cut costs but after lots of feedback quickly realized that was a bad idea and brought it back. They also have an outside patio in the back with a similarly fun vibe - that is for walk ins only along with the inside bar seats. The inside tables can get filled with reservations depending on the season - when they have a special theme like Halloween/Xmas, it can get booked up. It's table service, which I like because you don't have to fight for a drink. Staff are attentive. It's pricey but this is one of those places where it's worth it for something special. You can get good deals during happy hour. Recommend this for special occasions. And if you are a fan of tiki bars, this is a must visit!

Adrift Tiki Bar in Denver is an absolute gem and a must-visit for tiki enthusiasts. We made reservations ahead of time, and while the atmosphere wasn’t the dark and moody vibe typical of most tiki bars, the bright, fun decor and appropriate music more than made up for it. Now let’s talk drinks, the real reason to visit a tiki bar, right? Our server was fantastic, offering excellent recommendations and delivering top-notch service. We ordered two classics: MAI TAIMade with overproof Jamaican and Guyanese rums, orgeat, lime, and dry curaçao, this drink was funky, refreshing, and full of flavor. ZOMBIEA bold and boozy blend of rums, lime, grapefruit, pomegranate, falernum, cinnamon, Angostura bitters, and absinthe. This Zombie was one of the best I’ve ever had—powerful and perfectly balanced. Both drinks came served in beautiful tiki mugs, as they should. They didn’t skimp on the rum, and the flavors were bold and unforgettable. As a collector of tiki mugs, I would have loved to take one home, but unfortunately, they weren’t for sale. We also decided to order some food to go along with all that rum. We shared the steak bites, mushrooms, and a sesame cucumber salad, and wow, i need a moment.... what a fantastic choice. The steak was tender and perfectly cooked, with the mushrooms adding a rich earthiness, and the cucumber salad bringing a refreshing, tangy crunch. Honestly, it was one of the best meals I’ve had in a tiki bar, hands down. I don’t live in Denver or even Colorado, but I can confidently say I’d drive to the airport, go through security, sit on a plane for a few hours, rent a car and go to A drift again. This place will always be a must go when I am in town. The people who live close are the lucky ones. A Drift has earned a permanent spot on my list of must go destinations whenever I’m in town. To those who live close make sure to visit and visit often.

The overwhelmingly positive feedback centers on the great location, helpful staff, pool, sauna, and the atmosphere created by the beach access and ocean views. These elements contribute significantly to the overall enjoyment and relaxation that groups seek on a getaway. However, some guests mention room décor simplicity and some minor staff attitude issues as drawbacks. Understanding these nuances allows groups to manage expectations and plan complementary activities that maximize their time at Adrift.

What additional considerations should groups keep in mind when planning at Adrift?

Groups planning to rally at Adrift might consider a few logistical details to optimize their experience. Check-in begins at 4 PM, with the front desk open daily but limited to certain hours, so late arrivals should communicate ahead to ensure smooth access. Pets are welcome but come with an extra charge, so finalize arrangements if any group members wish to bring animals. Since the hotel is popular, booking in advance is advisable, especially for larger groups needing multiple rooms or special accommodations like rollaway beds. Although the hotel provides many shared amenities, some groups may want to bring additional games or plan outings to supplement hotel offerings, given the noted lack of games tables in communal areas. Weather and seasonal factors will also influence beach and pool enjoyment, so planning meetups during favorable seasons is recommended. Lastly, groups should be aware that while the hotel supports social and recreational activities, a quieter or more intimate vibe may sometimes be lacking, so bringing personal touches or planning group-driven events can enhance the overall meetup atmosphere.
