We really enjoy our visits to the Alamo Drafthouse. Our family has monthly passes so we can see all the new movies for a single monthly cost, about the price of a single movie. The food and drinks are great, but can get pricey if trying to feed an entire family on each visit. We tend to stick to a drink and take advantage of their bottomless popcorn. When you’re done with the bowl of popcorn, they will bring you another. They will even bring extra bowls to make it easier for the family to share.

My first time visiting here. What a place!!!!!!! You write down what you want to eat on paper . Press your button and they come take it paper away . Then bring your food/drink you ordered. The film was brilliant could have watched it again back to back. The food was amazing & the service was 10/10 . I'll be returning to watch another film and having lunch again.

It’s the best movie theater in the world! I prefer the movie selection at Alamo S Lamar but Slaughter is my neighborhood Alamo, the parking is ample and the service is great!

This theater has A/C heater problems and inadequate air circulation. Our family came in a few weeks ago and our movie theater was really cold, with a sign on the door apologizing for a heater not working. We came in again today - our theater is uncomfortably warm and air feels very stuffy.

I’m mute, and while I don’t speak, I do laugh—just not in the way most people are used to hearing. During a recent visit to Alamo Drafthouse, I was told to “be quiet” for laughing. Not talking. Not being disruptive. Laughing. It felt unfair and isolating. The policy around “no talking” is something I respect—it’s part of what makes the Alamo experience enjoyable. But when that policy is enforced without awareness or flexibility, it ends up policing people with disabilities just for existing differently. I wasn’t being loud or distracting. I was enjoying the movie the way anyone else would. If my laugh doesn’t sound typical, that doesn’t make it a disruption. It’s still just laughter. I hope this is a wake-up call for Alamo Drafthouse staff to receive better training in handling guests with communication differences or disabilities. Inclusion isn’t just about ramps or captions—it’s about recognizing that not everyone experiences or expresses joy the same way. Let people laugh. That’s the point of going to the movies in the first place.
