I've been to Alexander's Patisserie several times, and they truly are a good place to visit if you're looking for well-decorated and beautiful desserts. They taste good as well and are primarily mousse based which some people may prefer. The price is a bit steep, but you can see the quality and craftsmanship in their desserts so I don't think it's too expensive for what they sell. Staff is helpful but has spilled several of our drinks when serving them at the table. The seating area is often full and crowded and can't accommodate large groups, but you could also try to sit outdoors. The indoor dining also is a bit messy as people are constantly coming in and out. It's a classic spot for a hot drink and a dessert, and I definitely frequent Alexander's when I'm in the area!

We were visiting Music on castro event on Castro Street, Mountain View, and stopped here on a whim. We are so glad we did. We loved visiting Alexander's Parisserie. Such a bright, vibrant place. We ordered espresso, blueberry lemonade, fleur-de-pistache, and harmony pastries. Highly recommend blueberry lemonade and especially fleur de pistache. Delicious, rich, and decadent!! Very friendly service as well. There is a parking lot on Castro street and if you're lucky, street parking is available too.

It's pricey and the coffee was decent but nothing to brag about. The deserts on the other hand were exceptional. The Tiramisu was great and the Petit Getaux (harmony) was exceptional. Would visit again.

4.5/5 Well executed, perfectly looking desserts! I wasn't expecting to find a good quality bakery in the Bay Area, but was happy to stumble upon this one. I try pistachio desserts wherever I go and these ones were solid: not overwhelmingly sweet, the one with the raspberry mousse was so well balanced (in many places raspberry overpowers, but here it was perfectly creamy and subtle), beautifully designed with a stable mousse (which survived a day-long transportation!), crunchy and well-layered croissant. The only missing bit was pistachio tasting not strong enough. I wish it were so that the desserts could be perfect in every way.

Food was tasty, in the $11-13 range for desserts, $6 for croissant. Nice indoor and outdoor seating in a lively part of Mountain View. Recommend it over Alexander's across the street. Don't come with expectations of like, world class desserts, and you will be satisfied.

Prices tend to be reflective of the high quality and artistry of the pastries, so budget-conscious groups might want to focus on sharing rather than ordering individually. Some reviews note that tables can be a bit on the smaller or lower side, which may affect comfort for longer visits, especially for those with mobility considerations. Taking advantage of the to-go options can be a great way to extend the gathering outdoors or in a more spacious setting nearby.
