This is hands down the best karaoke bar on this side of the city. The crowd is so random yet the most encouraging kind of crowd. I've been here several times and truly you cant miss here; especially for a late bar on the weekends. They have great drink prices too. You can get a shot and a beer for like $10-15.

I love a dive and karaoke bar and had been wanting to come here for months as I live only a few blocks away. Unfortunately, the way things are run is messy and leaves so much room open for bad experiences or misunderstandings. I was there with a group of my friends at about 9:30pm on a Friday. We got all the way into the completely dead bar and got drinks before we were told by the KJ that karaoke wasn't open until 11. People were singing already and we were confused, but we were told it was a private party. If the private party system is the way yall want to run the bar, that's obviously totally fine. My issue comes in because neither the door guy or any of the bartenders let us know. And we heard karaoke from outside which would automatically make us think yall had open karaoke. I've seen on tons of responses to reviews from the owner Zach that apparently the 11pm start time and private party situation are communicated on the social media page and a chalk board inside. Social media is a moot point to me, like I shouldn't be expected to follow a bar on socials to understand their basic rules. The chalk board makes more sense. But the issue is, I literally only know about the chalk board from reading reviews here. I've been to the bar two weekends and spent hours inside it and didn't even notice a board. What I'm getting at is that this type of communication clearly isn't working. Having it written in your google synopsis, on a sign outside with your other cute neons, or most importantly having the door person communicate it would resolve like half of the issues and complaints you have. We left after finishing our drinks and went to a different bar. We were upset but wanted to give another chance now that we knew the way the bar works. The second time we visited it was around midnight so karaoke was open to the public. Several of my friends put in requests for karaoke. The KJ had everyone write their info down on song cards (i think sticky notes) and stacked them up. I am sure he has a system in his computer that he copies them to, but this sort of loose paper system is messy and I imagine really easy to introduce user error to by losing a card or shuffling things out of order accidentally. When none of my friends had a song come up in the nearly 3 hours we were there, I wanted to give the benefit of the doubt that there was some mistake like this. However, we saw the same people sing over and over, and it was clear to us that they were regulars at the bar and friends of the KJ. I'm a regular at a few bars and I understand some special treatment, but waiting for three hours in a relatively small karaoke bar seems really weird and pointed. Right before we left, another person sang the song my friend had waited 3 hours to sing. Again, normal to have repeat songs. But I don't get why it wasn't communicated that that song was already in the queue. When my friend tried to go up and resolve it and replace their song with another one, the KJ completely ignored us. Super rude offputting energy. I get people here are drunk and I'm sure often insufferable. But if someone is approaching you with a genuine question, then why nuke their night being mean? Finally, I want to point out two other vibe based things I noticed which I have seen reflected in several other reviews. My whole friends group is overtly gay/queer. The bartenders and clientele were welcoming, but the KJ had several sour faces or weird reactions to people kissing, standing close, hugging, or using gay slang. Homophobia can be really subtle, but when you've experienced it your whole life it really stands out. Secondly, I would say the bar had a pretty even 50/50 split of men and women. However, it seemed that a disproportionate number of people getting called up were men. I love a neighborhood late night bar like this. I hope that the team can try to legitimately take in these critiques to make the bar a more welcoming place to all patrons. And maybe a little less confusing lol. Signage! And communication are key. All the best to yall sincerely

I love coming here on Sundays for karaoke with Amber, she’s such a great KJ and keeps the energy fun all night! The sound system is fantastic, so every song feels like a performance. Kelsey the bartender is super friendly and makes you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. Always a good time, great drinks, and even better vibes!

The karaoke is great and the host is amazing with a great dry sense of humor! Sometimes you can wait over an hour for your song though cause it gets so crowded so beware. The service there is pretty bad every time I go though. I got a gin and tonic with most foul tasting gin, I don’t know what it was. I nicely asked if it was gin she poured, she said yes, and after that interaction the bartender hated me the whole night. My partner another time was treated very rude by a different bartender who also charged drinks to his card he didn’t order! And finally, one time I brought a Gatorade in with me to stay hydrated and prevent a hangover. The security guard didn’t tell me to throw it away, no, he kicked me out for only having a Gatorade! He said I could have snuck in liquor with it 🙄 and I PROMISE you I wasn’t being a Karen in any of these interactions. They have a very agro staff. I don’t recommend this place to anyone who likes karaoke. Sidekicks and Edelweiss are much better.
