Aloha Eats is an excellent substitute for meals in The Islands but of course missing the ocean and the great beaches. Definitely 4.4⭐️s. Nonetheless, the loco moco (traditional and katsu style) was fantastic. The gravy, beef/fried pork and the eggs all melded together as whrn I recall eating this on The Islands. Though not fancy, its filling and tasty, what its exactly mesnt to be. The spam musubi was every bit as good as it should be. Only critique would be a thicker cut of spam and bit less rice. It would bring the salty v sweet teryaki on the rice more in balance. An excellent meal on a very hot day.

We had a perfect meal at Aloha Eats. The food took us back to our trip to hawaii. It's so great to find authentic hawaiian food in the city. Their food is definitely different from your typical casual counter service restaurant. A complete nutritious meal that covers most of the food groups. Portions are a good size, and even the mini plates are enough to fill you up. Here's what we ate: Hurricane fries (highly recommended) fries topped with Teriyaki glaze, Sriracha mayo, and Furikake (rice seasoning). Shrimp Shumai (really delicious with a dash of soy sauce). Pork Katsu mini plate Fried shrimp mini plate Fried shrimp with bbq beef combo plate Most plates come with rice, macaroni salad, and cabbage. You get to pick your protein. If you're looking for something different that is nutritious and delicious, be sure to stop by Aloha Eats

Ordered the mini Mochiko Chicken, an order of spam musubi, and a can of soda for 23$. Honestly, a 23$ well spent. They note that food takes a few minutes which I appreciate having the heads up about. Everything was hot and fresh and there’s good amounts of seating around. Will definitely be coming back to try more!

Hafa Adai and Aloha!!! BBQ (all of them) and Loco Moco was great. And also the Spam Musubi and Portuguese sausage plate was very good. Love the island style foods. Very friendly staff and excellent service. My family and I visit Aloha Eats every time we are in Chicago. Si Yu’us Ma’ase and Mahalo!!!

Very tasty Chicken Katsu! Aloha Eats has a small kitchen, so there was a 15 minute wait, but it was definitely worth it. And while the price of $16 for a meal is a bit high, the portion size basically makes it two meals.
