We had such a great experience with Alpine to the Max! Our guide was Evan, and he was smart, safe, so fun to talk to and so informative. He was available by phone or text leading up to our climb to answer any questions about gear or what to pack, parking, etc. What a great day, we will definitely book again.

If you're going to take an AIARE course, do it with Alpine to the Max. This course was an absolute joy to partake in and I left with a full understanding of how, why and where avalanches take place, enabling proper confidence in my ability to assess terrain. Having had no backcountry experience going into the class, the field days were a perfect introduction for what to expect, from terrain, weather, beacon usage, avalanche terrain assessments and group communication. Max is an all-time favorite instructor. He's a professional who's incredibly qualified and brings an impressive background of time spent outdoors. Most importantly, he's passionate about sharing knowledge and instilling confidence and has the qualifications to do so. It's fair to say I'd trust Max with my life. I can now say I'm properly avalanche-obsessed, and plan to continue my education both in avalanches and overall first aid. Thank you Max for providing this experience and education!

Max is a pro level instructor that still knows how to connect and teach the basics of an AIARE 1. He knows the material, the landscape, and keeps it light during an often heavy topic. We went into the field on a day when the rating was HIGH (4/5) and had an amazing, and safe, tour! He presents the AIARE framework in a way that you are able to put in to action. Thanks Max! I will be seeing more powder days and safer ascents after this course!!!

Max and the AIARE 1 course as a whole were absolutely incredible! Max made the whole course a blast and he made sure everyone was able to keep up and understand the material and lessons. I would highly recommend this course to anyone who is interested!

Max took my wife and me multi-pitch climbing in Eldorado Canyon and we couldn't have asked for a better day. The day was tailored to our needs and we always felt safe and well looked after with such an experienced guide. Max was also very patient with us and good humoured, even when we repeatedly forgot pieces of kit or our shoes at the bottom of the pitch. Sorry Max!
