Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this place. I had high expectations, as I am passionate about Palestinian food, culture, and history. The atmosphere lived up to my hopes- it’s a vibrant, airy, and welcoming space! However, the service was really as bad as other reviews say. The main problem is that they really need a few more servers. To their credit, they seem aware of this problem. The cafe was busy when we arrived, but we waited over 15 minutes for our order to be taken and ended up having to ask multiple times in order for a server to help us. Our drinks were served promptly, but the food took well over 20 more minutes after they arrived, and we again had to remind the servers of our order. We enjoyed the food, but the drinks were lacking. All in all, what was intended to be a quick bite took well over an hour. I intend to give Andala a second chance, but I was sorely disappointed on my first visit.

This place was incredible! Outrageously delicious food - we ordered the roast turkey and it was melting off the bone, and the flavors were incredible. Wonderful atmosphere with beautiful colors and artwork, and wonderful service. Will absolutely be coming back!

March 29 (Saturday), 2025. The place appears to be a repurposed victorian era house, and in it's current restaurant form, it gave a `student hangout cafe' vibe. We came here around 4pm specifically looking for desserts. Unfortunately, they didn't have the Baklava or the Nammoura. I ordered the knafeh (which I had some idea about from eating Dubai chocolate elsewhere). It is a bright orange disk-shaped dish (not a baked bread/cake/pastry) made with small fine needle-shaped things (which I think is semolina/ரவை) with melted cheese layer inside. It is soaked in a sweet water, with an intense flavour of rose, and topped with chopped pistachios. The melted cheese stretches like in a pizza. It's sweet to the right level, and I wish it was a bit more soggy/watery, I think the dish absorbed the sweet water too quickly. The mildly-salted nature of the cheese, and large portion made it complete in a sense that knafeh is a worthy hunger-satiating main-course and not an end-of-meal dessert.

The food tasted good but it was small portions and they charged us 14 dollars for 8 tiny potato cubes. We also sat there waiting for an hour for a plate of ful and labne. Meanwhile the labne had one lick of zaatar with it. As an Arab why are we skimming on these portions? That's not our culture. They also forgot our hummus. We ended up paying 70 dollars for 3 things ... I wouldn't come here again.
