I took Andrew’s Taliesin photography course a few years ago and said to myself if he comes back and I’m available, I’d take it again. And I did, and I’d take it a third time too. Andrew is fun and an excellent instructor. He’s always there to help and checks in with you regularly. I learned a lot from him and the other attendees. Plus Taliesin is a dream site for photography. Their staff made sure all our needs were met, the food was very good, and it’s Taliesin. If you’re serious about photography and particularly a fan of Frank Lloyd Wright’s architecture, this course is for you.

I've taken two of Andrew Pielage's photography workshops. The second was better than the first, and the first was so good I took the second. Most of the folks who attend his workshops are regulars who jump at the opportunity to see the various sights he has unique access to all across the United States. Andrew is a great photography teacher and guide for all things Frank Lloyd Wright. He's also fun! You don't feel like you are taking a "class". It's more like going on mini adventures with a bunch of like minded friends looking for the perfect angle and best light to capture these amazing structures and locations.

The Andrew Pielage "Beginner Taliesin Workshop" August 2022 was incredible. Aside from the awe-inspiring space to learn and photograph, Andrew imparted much knowledge onto his students and has the temperament & patience of a great instructor. Class size was perfect, lessons had the right amount of info so as not to overwhelm and then immediate practice with the camera. I never felt rushed or behind as Andrew made sure we were all up to speed during the weekend. I can't recommend this experience enough and hope to take other more advanced workshops in the future.

I was not a fan of cameras when my husband signed us up for the course. The class engaged my geek-nerd and creative sides equally. I have just ordered my first DSLR and look forward to roaming the Adirondacks and finding views to photograph. I think this class has actually how I will see things. Andrew has great energy and a terrific sense of humor so the classes don’t seem long or boring at all. Maybe I will even take another class.

I recently attended Andrew's Intermediate photography workshop at Taliesin West. This was my second opportunity to learn from Andrew. As expected, his structure, instruction and gentle guidance is well balanced - encouraging, but honest, so we learn how to be better. He makes sure we meet the goals we set for ourselves during the workshop. His unfailingly kind demeanor and humor takes the edge of the nervousness - turning potential frustration and self-disappointment into hope and perseverance. Thanks Andrew... a true pleasure!!
