Love this library! Only 1500 steps from my house, which is a great thing for this lifelong library fan. I really appreciate how they integrated ash trees killed by the emerald ash borer into the design. Parking underneath or outside also very convenient. I also love the convenience of putting in requests for pickup, with the option to freeze my request when my pile of checkouts gets too big.

Great for kids; free parking around and UNDER the building with stairs/elevator to enter from below. The kids call it the "Tunnel Library" and love going under the building. On a rainy day this is the only AADL library you could go into without getting wet. Lots of great kid books, computers, and puzzles, and super great for climb-obsessed youngsters! This branch has the smallest kid section. For comparison, the Downtown and Mallets Creek libraries have fish tanks and plenty of toys, and the Westgate has lots of toys, more climbing, iPads, a cafe, and stroller parking. We stopped in for a story time (schedule for all branches on website) and got to sing songs, read books, and play with toys with 20+ other families. The kids were also enthralled with the "waterfalls" on either side of the kid library outside. Check out their Stories To Go bags-- themed bags with books, CDs, and DVDs based on that theme (see the ABC bag contents in photo). Has men/women/family bathrooms.
