Visited the preserve on an April afternoon with my furbaby. It had been several years since I first went and very happy to see the additional amenities now there. Thanks to the late Dr. Wilkerson for having the vision to have her homestead be a sanctuary in the middle of very urban area. Beautiful green spaces, pond, gardens, trails, wildlife, education center and friendly staff. Time well spent getting away from the noise and in nature.

Didn’t know this park existed, and it's so close to our place. Went there in mid-November before sunset, and it was wonderful! The pastel sky, leaves changing colors in the background like a wonderland, even a little deer came out. There are nice trails for a walk. Highly recommended!

This park always feels so secluded even though it is right off a main road. The trails are simple enough for an inexperienced hiker. We like to bring a pic nic and eat at one of the tables then hike. We always see deer in the tall grasses. The Fairy Trail is cute, but so many spider webs! đź•·
