This is such a unique and wonderful space. My band recorded a music video there. The setting was incredible. The acoustics in the of the room were amazing, the light show out of this world, great sound, lots of equipment already there including a PA, amps and acoustic piano. Terrific hospitality and a great price. Cannot recommend highly enough. If you want to film your band playing music in an incredible location look no further!

Casual colorful venue. Our friend threw a party with three bars and open jam for his birthday. Table to add drinks and foods. Random chairs another wise space for dancing. Women’s restroom was spacious. Things for sale along the wall.

Fabulous fundraiser at the Art House last Sunday. What a phenomenal space!!! Harold, the owner, was a pleasure to work with. He was responsive, available, helpful and truly wonderful. We had live music and showed a few videos and everything was handled beautifully. Our fundraiser was incredibly successfully in large part to welcoming environment of the space. I can't wait to host another event at Art House! I highly recommend this space for whatever event you may have to add a bit of fun, flair and LOVE!

I absolutely loved my experience performing at the Berkeley Art House Gallery and Cultural Center. Harold was so welcoming and encouraging. I love how the focus is solely on the art and music. It’s rare to find a place which provides so much freedom of creative self expression. I also lost my wallet there and Harold was extremely easy to contact the following day and we made plans to get it back to me. Thank you! You made it so easy and the whole experience was so fun. I love the colors and artwork on the walls, especially the neon paint and lava lamps. I certainly look forward to hopefully performing there again soon.

The Art House is a wonderful venue for events. It’s great for a birthday party, an intimate musical performance, a book reading, or fund raising event, to name a few. The colorful 1960’s artwork and black light posters are really fun! It has a large open room with a nice high ceiling and skylights that feels very spacious as well as an excellent sound system, projector, piano and more. Mic stands and microphones are all there. The entryway can be used for setting up tables with food and drink. The owner, Harold, is a total sweetheart, and really works with you to make your event or party the way you want it. It’s a Berkeley treasure!
