We stopped in for some drinks and a little sometime to eat before a long flight to Chicago. I grabbed an "Overnight Oats" and it was very tasty as was my "Chai Tea Latte". The line was long but move pretty well, it did take a few minutes for them to prepare our drinks but that is to be expected.

We had a really disappointing experience here. The cashier completely ignored us while serving drinks to people at the bar, even though we just needed to pay for sandwiches. We were in a hurry for our check-in and the lack of attention from the staff made it worse. On top of that, the sandwiches were old. Not worth the stop at all.

Service was quick and friendly. Avocado toast had actual, recognizable avocado on it (I’ve been to too many places where it’s an avocado-adjacent green slurry), lots of aioli, and a generous heap of arugula on top. Airport prices are wild ($16 for the toast), but the portions meant it didn’t feel like a total rip-off. Would recommend if you need a quick, non-greasy bite before your flight.

Reserving vendor spaces or attending during highlighted artisan events may increase the chances of seeing premium handcrafted goods. It's also wise to plan for adequate time since exploring a market fully and engaging with vendors takes longer than just quick browsing. Weather considerations matter for outdoor markets, so appropriate attire and contingency plans are necessary. Additionally, groups should be prepared for varying levels of crowd and vendor interaction, as markets can range from bustling to more intimate depending on the day. Setting a meeting point and time within the market will help keep the group connected while allowing members to explore freely. Finally, budgeting for purchases and refreshments in advance helps everyone enjoy the experience without surprises.

How does Artisan Market support local artisans and small businesses?

By hosting these markets, the organizers help sustain and promote local talent and entrepreneurial spirit, giving artisans exposure and customer access they might not otherwise achieve. This direct-to-consumer model allows artisans to receive fair compensation and immediate feedback, which promotes growth and creativity. Small businesses benefit by building relationships with loyal local customers and networking with other vendors, often collaborating on projects or sharing resources. For groups visiting Artisan Market, this means each purchase supports not only the individual artisans but the broader community economy, enriching the connection between shoppers and makers. This supportive environment enhances the value of a group meetup—it's a shared investment in creativity, culture, and economic vitality that feels rewarding beyond the day itself.

To maximize your group’s experience at Artisan Market, consider arriving early when the market just opens to avoid crowds and have the chance to interact with vendors more personally. Bring reusable bags or totes to carry your purchases comfortably, as many items are unique and delicate. Encourage members of your group to set personal goals, such as finding a specific handmade gift, tasting a new delicacy, or participating in a workshop if available—this adds focus and excitement. Take advantage of photo opportunities to capture memories and share the market’s atmosphere with friends who couldn’t join. Lastly, engage with vendors by asking about their craft stories and techniques, enriching your appreciation for their work and making the outing educational and inspiring. By planning thoughtfully and embracing the market’s community spirit, your group can create a truly memorable day full of fun, discovery, and meaningful connections.
