I use this gym exclusively for weightlifting. It has all the basic machines, cables, dumbbells, barbells and cardio equipment you need. Nothing fancy but it gets the job done. Can be a little busy in the afternoons but normally don't have any problems getting equipment I need. Wish they had Hack squat and t bar row machines. Can get warm in the summer with subpar AC/fans.

The Rec center side is just now open again post-covid! It’s got a pretty well equipped weight room for a Rec center (2 squat racks!), and I’m pretty pleased this is within walking distance. I believe the pool side has a few more weeks before reopening.

Gone here for the lap pool only. The pool is small 3 lanes of the short course, so up to 6 people as I have not seen anybody swim in circle pattern yet. There is a huge rec pool ( I wish was the other way around). Facilities look like new and super clean. Maybe too clean: the pool has a lot of chlorine so pack goggles.

Went in today, just asked for a resistance band for pullups, and ended up getting a really really helpful lesson by one of the personal trainers (Tanner). He was super informative on how to build up strength for pullups, and helped make a routine for me. Really nice person!

this rec center used to be one of the best rec centers that I have ever been to my entire life. I do not know what happened! it used to be you were able to come in and watch your children swim and not be charged so long as you didn't get in the pool for supervision of your child. but now the government had some kind of crack down on the recreation center and the recreation center now has a charge you just for walking through the door apparently. That was a bit of a let-down I've come to the rec center many the time I've spent he's away $60 every time I come. Because I was coming in a large group. So when I come just to the swim side and I'm told that I got to pay it kind of hurts a little. Putting all of that aside when I went to the pool area with my children. The lifeguards were just sitting there talking to each other not supervising children. Not paying attention. Not wearing swimming suits. Not looking like they weigh a healthy weight. what I mean by that is that they all were overweight. Which in my opinion is not okay for a lifeguard cuz she can pass a certain test. And if I were in charge of them they would have all been fired. the reason why I say that is there were several times where children needed help in the water and I ended up saving them and I was a guest at the pool. I an ex lifeguard so it wasn't a huge deal might be have to save them. but it just wasn't right that they were just talking to each other not even concerned about the children. One little boy easily could have drowned that day. I will not be back
