Astor Place Theatre stands as a celebrated off-Broadway theater nestled in the NoHo neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City. With a rich heritage that dates back to the mid-19th century, this venue offers a unique blend of history and contemporary performing arts. Originally conceived as the Astor Place Opera House in 1847, it was designed in the Classical Revival style reminiscent of ancient Greek and Roman temples, reflecting a vision to bring grand opera to New York. We saw the Blue Man Group here and they were amazing! Luckily they didn’t allow any photo or video which made the whole experience feel a lot more intimate and unique! The theatre felt quaint but not overcrowded, clean restrooms and very friendly staff everywhere!

DOROTHY I am who I AM

This was my first time attending the Blue Man group. I have to give my honest opinion there was no rhyme or reason to this show. It was a little disgusting, when they spewed. The toilet paper was very interesting. But the music was everything and more than I expected and so cool. Five stars for me thank you so much for a great night. We even got upgraded to the front. 5 ⭐

Staff was very hospitable and attentive. Guest spaces were clean and well maintained. I recommend a visit.
