I enjoyed this store, it's a hidden gem! I went for the back to school sale. There was a make and take craft that my daughter loved. It has a great community focused environment. I will definitely go back for gently used items and donate some items. Check it out for yourself.

Let's just call this what it is . . . Crafters Paradise! What ever your medium ACR will have stuff for you, and cheap too. It's all donation based and they do an amazing job keeping it all organized. The staff is super friendly, they do fun classes all the time and they even host Art fairs! You never know what you'll find at Austin Creative Reuse, but you'll always have fun. If you're donating, make sure to check what they're accepting because it varies by the current need. If you haven't checked it out yet, you'll want to soon!

First time visiting and while this wasn’t exactly for me, I think it was a really neat concept! There are a vast selections of craft items, however, because this is donation based keep in mind you may not find exactly what you are looking for. Definitely worth a visit if you are willing to go through the bins!

This place is a great concept and probably would be very useful for people who live nearby. But as an out of state visitor, I specifically was looking for nicer fabrics for making clothes, and the selection for that kind of fabric was mostly nonexistent. It’s mostly quilted cotton, fleeces and upholstery fabrics. They had a really great selection of scraps if you’re looking for cheap ways to quilt. But I create enough of my own scraps, I did not need anymore. I was also looking for high-quality yarns, which I found a few wool pieces but most were acrylic. I know this is all dependent on the donations so the variation probably changes wildly overtime but today it was kind of disappointing paying for a Lyft to get there from downtown Austin. I have been to many craft and creative reuse stores in many cities (mostly in CA) and this one was probably my least favorite.

I enjoyed the organization of the different materials and the amount of various things to choose from. I was surprised to find these fisher price toys and the amount of crayons/watercolors to use. I like the idea and concept of this store and wish more cities implemented a place like this. The customer service is lacking but it’s almost understandable since the staff is a volunteer force.
