If you are a hobby photographer like me and think you know a thing or two about photography, then this school is for you. You will quickly learn that what you know is only a partial picture (sorry for the pun) of what is essential knowledge in expressing yourself and making sure you are able to take every shot with intention and the desired outcome, without leaving things to chance. I cannot recommend Photography 1 enough, even for those who have been shooting for a long time.

I just can't say enough great things about ASOP and Andrew. I've attended all four offered classes and feel more confident and controlled with my camera & subjects. His knowledge and experience makes this a fabulous opportunity to anyone struggling or new to photography. You WILL be on manual mode before leaving your first class. You cannot fail in whatever your ambitions are after taking these classes. And his enthusiasm and high energy will keep you motivated, coming back and excited to learn more.

This is it! Best class i’ve taken in a long time! Each and every class that I come to I am blown away by the amount of new knowledge i’ve acquired. Homework every class helps you understand the coursework well and there’s a fun atmosphere to look at these assignments and really understand what went well and what could have been done different. After just Photo I you will walk out with a very strong foundation for Photography. Looking forward to Photo II!

Definitely take an ASOP class if you are considering it! I promise it will be unlike any photo clasd you have taken and that is a good thing! I relearned photography from an entirely new perspective and think of taking photos with a new mindset now and I think this will help me to be a more effective photographer. Andrew is quite skilled and unique at teaching and is extremely entertaining. Even with a short attention span, i was easily able to stay entrigued throughout the entire class. If you take a class, my suggestion would be to clear your schedule as much as possible so that you can really engage in the "assignments". I wished i had more tim3 to practice what I was learning. Also, i should add that Andrew treats everyone the same and there is no personal judgement during the class, no matter how inexperienced one is!

Andrew and this school are AMAZING! I've taken almost every class they offer, and I absolutely loved them all. They were pretty much the best classes I've ever taken, and I've been a student for 20 years. Before taking his classes I liked photography but only thought about it as a hobby,. After taking the first class I fell more in love with it, and have been pursuing it as a job ever since. After these classes I was equipped with more knowledge then almost all of my peer photographers, not to mention more creatively inspired. Andrew is enthusiastic about what he teaches, and gives his students so much time, energy, knowledge, and creative inspiration. I would SO recommend taking any and all of his classes.
