Balboa Park is a must visit if you are in San Diego. The Spanish Colonial Revival architecture was truly magnificent. The rose garden was incredibly beautiful. Balboa Park is an absolute gem in the heart of San Diego, don’t miss it! 🌿✨ This sprawling 1,200-acre cultural park is a perfect mix of beauty, history, and fun. With its lush gardens, stunning Spanish-style architecture, and world-class museums, there’s truly something for everyone here. We started at the Botanical Building and Lily Pond, and wow—what a peaceful, picture-perfect spot. The variety of plants and the serene pond make it feel like you’ve stepped into a postcard. The Fleet Science Center was a huge hit with the kids! While it was a bit smaller than expected, it was packed with interactive exhibits and cool gadgets that kept us all entertained for a solid two hours. Instead of the usual ball pit, they had a live animal exhibit this time, which was a fun surprise and definitely made the visit extra memorable. Whether you’re into art, science, nature, or just strolling through beautiful scenery, Balboa Park has it all. A must-visit for families, tourists, and locals alike!

One of my favorite spots to see when visiting San Diego. A great way to spend an afternoon. The colorful bricks in the art area and the Spanish influence. The architecture of the buildings is so beautiful. I’ve spent hours and hours here and have always learned something new. Had a fruit smoothie at the Cafe in the Park.

An interesting campus of educational stops. Seems more like a location/space fit for a middle school field trip. Architecture is impressive enough. I wish the area had a more uniform direction on what it’s supposed to be. It was a strange, not unpleasant experience, but nothing I would recommend to someone with limited time to explore San Diego.

Always a great place to visit. Free activities and paid. The museums are very interesting and diverse. Look into the saver packages, especially if going to the zoo. Don't miss the rose garden across the street. And the Japanese Friendship Garden is delightful.
