We had an incredible experience taking private dance lessons with Nadiya at Ballroom At Its Best to choreograph our wedding first dance! As complete beginners with zero dance experience, Nadiya immediately put us at ease and began with the basics. We signed up for five private sessions and recorded ourselves during the lessons to help practice at home between sessions, which really helped us improve. By the time the big day arrived, we had a beautifully choreographed routine to "Close to You" by Carpenters that left our guests in awe, many were even in tears! Beyond the dance itself, the entire experience became a wonderful way for us to bond and spend quality time together before the wedding. Our instructor Nadiya was fantastic at making sure we understood everything and were able to follow her steps, getting us through the basics and other techniques, and encouraging creativity and choice in our dance while giving us plenty of options and support. Claire is the best! We’ve done 2 seasons of classes and it’s been a great date night. Claire is so easy to follow and keeps it laid back but challenging. She is clearly extremely experienced with teaching. She has great memory cues for each routine. Before dance I never knew how to find the 1 in a song and now it’s second nature. The quick step cues are a great addition especially if you’re having trouble to help practice a bit between sessions to keep you on track. Can’t wait for the next session!!
