I bring my catahoula leopard dog mix, Piglet, here regularly and I couldn’t be happier with the care she gets. She’s a VERY high-energy gal, but the staff are always so patient with her and I really appreciate that. She comes home clean, tired, and happy every time, and she always gets excited when we walk in. The employees are friendly too and seem to genuinely love what they do. Definitely a place I trust and recommend. Big thanks to Brandon and the staff!!

We love Bark Place! I send my dog Gimli to daycare once every week or two, and he absolutely loves it. We get his nails trimmed there as well, and they tell me he does great (even though he’s an absolute terror when I trim them at home!) I used them for my previous dog as well, and they sent me the sweetest message after she passed. I’ve convinced three neighbors to take their dogs there as well, and they all love Bark Place as much as I do.

We love this place and they take such good care of our dog. Reasonably priced daycare packages, inexpensive grooming, and they will even walk your dog home if you live in the neighborhood. I trust them with my pup and my keys.

An apology goes a LONG way. You couldn't tell me I'd ever step foot in here again. I'd already had two uneventful experiences, left my "final" review and went about my day. So imagine my surprise when I'm walking my dog and notice somebody jogging next to me and handing me a gift bag. First, I was confused about why my dog (who is 99% likely to warn you not to get too close to me) wasn't even slightly alarmed by this guy. Then, I looked to see the brotha with the locks who I say hello to every time we make eye contact while I'm walking by. My headphones were on loud (listening to "Reid Report") and I was so engrossed in listening to the news that I didn't hear anything he said. But I looked at the bag that read, "Apologies for past service" and instantly said, "Awwwww." It was such a nice gesture that I was not expecting at all. I kept walking and got all the way home before I looked inside. I knew there was a treat in there because my dog had shoved her nose completely in the bag when I sat it down. The level of thought, courtesy and a good-hearted guess at my wide-shouldered, slim-waisted dog tickled me. I read the message on the business card, wrote my own "thank you" card and circled back for a second walk to thank the owner in person. I had no idea that the owner WAS the same guy I'd been saying hello to because it was someone else when I first visited in 2021. You just never know who you're talking to or who leaves a good impression without trying. I absolutely positively made sure to update my review today. As I said to the owner (Brandon) in the store, I've walked 99 dogs and completed 619 walks, not including my own dogs. Every single dog has his own personality, and the same personality diversity applies to people too. His response to a bad customer service experience with someone on his team was EXACTLY what makes grudge holders like me give a store another shot. (I also like that he checked up on how a dog was doing who was out with another worker. That attention to detail MATTERS to a three-time dog owner like me.) I learned how to clip dog nails three years ago and don't need a doggy day care anymore (unless I go on vacation), but when I need ANY dog supplies, I'm going there first before I consider shopping online. Bark Place earned that from me.

Unfortunately we had a very frustrating experience here. We have a large mastiff mix who is playful and sweet, but pretty anxious. She is good with other dogs, but is usually pretty wary of new people. I called and scheduled a temperament test, and was told our dog had passed. The man behind the counter that day told us she passed and tried to sell us 30 days of day care. We said we'd take it one day at a time, but would probably be coming back often if she had a good experience. The Bark Place did not answer our calls for the next week. I called twice a day and left messages. I heard nothing back. My husband drove there in person in case the phones were having problems and we were told to bring her the next morning, no big deal. When I arrived in the morning, the same guy who passed our dog in the temp test said that they couldn't take her today due to staff availability and he said he was sorry, but they had to reschedule. This is frustrating, because I received no call or email that morning from them, they waited until I was in the shop. He said he emailed me that morning (and when it's time sensitive it needs to be a phone call), and told me the wrong email address he has sent it to. He did not bother to correct the email on file when I said it was wrong. Later that day we got an email (my husband's email this time, and not the wrong email address they had under my name) saying they wouldn't be able to take her at all and would not be scheduling with us moving forward. Were we supposed to pre pay for the dog day care on the temperament test day, then? What if we had pre bought days? Overall, I'm not upset that The Bark Place cancelled our day care. If they don't have the staff for my dog, they don't have the staff. I'm upset because at every step of the process, they could have told us they couldn't take her, but they told us yes, she'll be fine, yes, bring her tomorrow. They, I guess, actually meant no, but they told me yes. I can't recommend The Bark Place because they'll tell you what you want to hear until it's too late to make other plans.
