Took a class here today for the first time this afternoon. Loved it, thought it would be little emote challenging.. it was one of the reasons why I was nervous to take the class. But I feel like if you’re in great shape this class is perfect. Also it’s great for beginners as well, I met some people who loved the class as well who were new to fitness. Wish they had a military discount I would definitely purchase a monthly membership.. since the logo is a CPL… but definitely an experience.

I love the class format, energy, and the RESULTS! However, I had to quit because of possible hearing damage due to excessive volume. On my first day, they did not mention the free earplugs at the front desk, and my ears were traumatized. I am certain Barry's can achieve the same effect without causing physical damage because I used to go to Barry's London and didn't have this issue. So it's unfortunate they decided to increase the volume to compensate for what? Literally no one is asking for higher volume. The instructors are awesome as they are. The music, the red lights, the tension and speed, everything is great as it is. The decrease in volume to manageable, healthy levels is not going to affect class retention. In fact, it might bring me back.

I’m sort of new to Barry’s (~50 classes) and have taken classed in Charlotte/New York/Austin and Kelsey is the best instructor I’ve had so far. Music, fire. Warm ups, dynamic. Programming, on point. Can’t recommend her enough. Just needs more classes/week!

I hate to write this review because my wife and I have used Barry's for years and loved it. However we just moved from Boston and our first class since moving to Dallas and we drove 30 minutes to drop off our newborn and then another 30 minutes into the city just to be told our reservation didn't mean we actually had a spot! No where in the email did it say we needed dropouts to actually get a spot. In Boston this just meant your station would be assigned when you show up. We were on time but since the class was "full" we had to go home. The email has to be CLEAR that we do NOT have a spot and only if someone no-shows would we get one. Truly a waste of a morning :( To top it off we were supposed to get our credits back but it seems as if that hasn't happened either.

John Michael is truly a legendary instructor. You can experience the dedication and detail he provides in his programming. Music is fire! And he knows how to motivate the room. Even in my tough days of being extra sore or tired, he pushes me to my limit and I am very satisfied I took his class. I’d like to add that he is also very welcoming of everyone and has a heart forward approach to his personality. We are truly blessed to have him in Dallas…keep killing it John Michael!!
