The view is absolutely perfect! I ordered a non-alcoholic drink, and it was amazing,really well made! I wasn’t too hungry, so I just got the cauliflower side. It was a generous portion for one person, but unfortunately, it wasn’t fully cooked and didn’t stand out in terms of flavor. The overall experience was still good, especially thanks to the drink and the friendly staff. The only downside for me was the dark interior,I personally prefer a brighter space.

Great little spot by the river. We sat on the porch by the river, and the views are great. It’s a little loud because the train is close, but a really pretty space. Not sure how accessible it is for wheelchairs. Service was fine. Staff was friendly. We have celiac in our party, and they took it very seriously, which was very much appreciated. Food wise- we tried several things. Shrimp dish was wonderful. Ribs were super tender, mushroom kabob was a hit as well. Carrots, Brussels, fries… everything we had was well received. Would come back again.

The view is amazing and so is the food. The food is shared family style and there are plenty of selections to accommodate most tastes. Beatnik really shines in its decor and architecture which makes you feel like you’re in a building built right into the side of a lush mountain. If it’s possible, try to get seated on the water so you can watch the boats pass by. Perfect place to celebrate someone you live or for a romantic date night.

We made a lunch reservation on a Friday and were told seating could not be guaranteed (we wants the River view). It seemed contradictory to make a reservation if it could not be guaranteed. The decor is beautiful and eclectic. We were seated under a speaker which was very loud and even the server admitted he had trouble hearing our orders. Maybe lowering the volume would help. The food itself was delicious. I ordered the gnocchi and easily devoured the entire plate. For the price it would be nice if sides were included like a breadstick or side salad as the portion is not overly generous . The drinks were beautiful and had great appeal but again for the price of $15 each we expected just a bit more. The river view was very scenic but it would have been nice to have a window open or outdoor seating.

We came here for lunch and loved it! Food: the octopus hummus was very authentic and very delicious, and the lamb feast was huge! While slightly on the salty side, the yogurt/hummus sides + pita bread combo balances it out nicely. Ambiance: you’re really paying for the ambiance here - the view of the river is fantastic, and while the food is on the pricier side the vibes make up for it Service: we had great service - we accidentally tipped over one of our drinks (our fault) but our waiter quickly helped clean up the mess and even replaced the drink free of charge. Also checked up on us frequently and made sure to send out the courses in an order that made sense Highly recommend you make a stop to this place if you’re visiting Chicago!
