Tried to trade in watch manager wasn’t even willing to help and employees think that watching YouTube is more important than helping customers apparently. It’s one thing to not be able to do something but to have earbuds in and a YouTube video playing that the customer can actively see is insane.

I had a very poor experience with Best Buy ( N. Scottsdale location in particular). On Aug 14, I placed an online order for a Samsung TV . I was shopping around and choose Best Buy because it said on the order page that my item would be ready for pick up in 1 hour. There was a choice also to have it shipped next day but we decided we wanted it right away and had the time to pick it up. So, order placed, and then we waited. And waited all afternoon. Order was placed about 11:45am. At 3:30 I tried to call the store and was on hold for a while. I couldn't wait longer so hung up. Later about 4:30 i called back, waited on hold and finally got an agent, not at the store, sounded like working at home in another country. I inquired as to what the problem was and the girl "looked into it" and told me they were waiting for authorization from my bank (credit card). I thought that was weird because it was under $300 and did not receive any alert. Anyway, I said thank you and would contact my credit card to expedite matters. She said that was a good idea. After contacting my card, I was informed that there was no problem and the purchase went through. The agent just lied to me. Maybe it is one of their lie options in the script, I don't know. So then, I called back, and by now was very angry. I told the next male agent ( not in store) that there is no problem with my card and the prior agent lied. He said sorry, don't worry, I assure you that your item will be ready TOMORROW. This is crap. Why tomorrow? He doesn't know. Very sorry, I understand how you feel blah , blah ,blah. Can't tell me anymore , sometimes the system is slow. I said whatever and was annoyed that now we had to go pick it up next day which wasn't convenient and kicking myself for not just having it delivered. Wait, there's more: The next morning I opened my email to see an email from Best Buy informing me that they have CANCELLED my order!!! It said that there was a problem verifying my information. What?? It's weird because according to my credit card I was charged for the item, then reimbursed. So, there wasn't a problem with verifying my info?? Was the cancellation a punishment for complaining and pestering about my order? Was it because they never really had the item in stock that they advertised? Who knows! Being very angry with Best Buy, I placed an order with Walmart for the exact same TV for a few bucks less, no hassles.. I have learned for the future to stay away from Best Buy because *they falsely advertise product availability and times for pick up *you can't speak to anyone in exact store of purchase and that means you can't talk to a manager either who might possibly help you get to the real problem *and quite possibly, they could just cancel your order if they don't feel like dealing with you. *agents LIE to you when you want to find out a reason for problem Thanks for the eye opener!
