Wow! Incredible, friendly service. We rented an adult bike, basket and helmet. Staff were welcoming and instructive. One even went above and beyond by recognizing that the bike we brought with us (the one we were not renting from them) had low tires and he offered to fill them. We spent the full day at Central Park, I could not have imagined doing it on foot. This company is great, we will be back every time we visit NYC. The only recommendation would be to have laminated maps we could borrow attached onto the baskets so we could have a battery-free map option.

It’s feels like a scam. Run by a group of people who are not capable of giving good costumer service!!! The bike work fine but I have seen better places. We came 7 minute over the one hour. And she changed us a full extra hour.

We rented two bikes for one hour from Bike Rent NYC at the Columbus Circle location. The biggest advantage here is definitely the convenience—Columbus Circle is one of the most popular entry points to Central Park, so picking up and returning the bikes was quick and easy. There were plenty of bikes available, and ours were in good condition—well-maintained and ready to go. The service was smooth with no lines or delays, which we really appreciated. That said, the prices felt a bit higher compared to other bike rental options in the city. Unfortunately, CityBike doesn’t allow non-U.S. residents to open accounts easily, which leaves many tourists relying on rental shops like this one. While it’s more expensive than CityBike, this service is still reliable and tourist-friendly. Overall, I’d recommend Bike Rent NYC if you’re short on time or prefer a hassle-free pickup in a prime location. If you have time to plan ahead, it might be worth comparing a few other rental services nearby for better rates—there are quite a few options around. But for speed, simplicity, and location, this one delivers. 1 hour wouldn't be sufficient to see half of the park. Go for at least 2 hour rent. Don't forget that there is 15min. courtesy time and if you exceed that, you will be charged full additional hour fee.

The booking and pickup process was easy and efficient. The staff was very nice. HOWEVER! We learned rather painfully that one of our bikes was defective as 1 mile into the 6 mile loop the chain broke and caused the bike to crash, walking back with skinned knees and bruised elbows was not pleasant. The staff were apologetic and quickly offered a first aid kit, helped clean the wound and give us the last 2 hours of our rental free to use at other time. I will return hoping that was a one time issue but be aware and check you bike before leaving.

A really bad service. Bicycles are totally crap and older than my grandma: absorver shocks doesn’t absorv, front and rear tires are destroyed, shift gear moves “on its own”… moreover, when you give the workers some feedback they don’t answer, smile and brush you off. Believe me, try another.
