Went to matinee showing of "5 guys named Moe" and the production was good. Singing and dance was very enjoyable. The theater is always so cold so even in 105 outside degrees, I wore a jacket and had a scarf in my bag. My friends brought cold temp clothes too. Parking was adequate for this play. Will be back and wearing lots of clothes 🥶🥶

My wife and I was invited to the play a Richard 3,that was at the Black Theater Troupe period It was fantastic and the actors were superb. As a member of the Black Theater , I appreciate theater ,great place and a professional Theater Troupe. I recommend that anyone that enjoys the theater and fine acting!

We visited the Black Theatre Troype for the play Richard III. What a wonderful twist on the resilience of Black Americans success in theater and the effort and ability of white enterprise of the time to exert their will to keep the competition at bay in the early 1900's (not unlike the exertion of power we see today). Great play, well executed, and thought provoking presentation. It was more about the players than the play. We'll be returning for more presentations at that theater.

I love the shows here and appreciate the talented performers, but my recent experience with a staff member named David was disappointing. After an issue with my complimentary ticket, I offered to pay for a ticket to avoid further complications. David's attitude was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional, which added unnecessary tension to the situation. After I received my paid ticket, I chose to ignore his remarks, but the interaction escalated unnecessarily. As I walked away and headed to the theater a random patron even suggested I "just smile at him, it'll make him feel better" which was inappropriate. After responding "No, I will not smile at him, for what?" Moments later, I was informed by another staff member (woman) that David, the executive director, wanted me to leave. Thankfully, another individual intervened, allowing me to stay and enjoy the show, which was fantastic as always. While the performances are excellent, this type of leadership and customer service behavior is unacceptable. If this reflects the culture here, I will reconsider attending in the future.
