The trails are quite nice, but there is A LOT of poison ivy. It's mostly in the no-mow zones, which is fine because people shouldn't be in there anyway, but it's also growing on a good amount of trees. If you just want a nice place to walk, cycle, or picnic, your needs will be met and you'll probably have a good time. It would just be a better greenbelt if there was some signage to warn about the poison ivy.

Nice lil walking trail around the park. Benches/tables along the way. Gazebos. A small bridge. Grassy areas. I rarely rate parks under 4 stars though, unless there are needles laying around or something. Ha. But I do like this park regardless! They have a creek restoration in progress, which is nice. Could use more of that. I haven’t walked the entire park so unsure if there’s a playground for the kiddos but I’m assuming, since they have other good stuff.

About a 2 1/2 mile biking and walking trail with clearly marked paths. Some lighting after dark. Park pavilion and additional benches located throughout, a couple of iron pedestrian/bike bridges, well lit crossing paths at East 11th and MLK. Variety of people present including with strollers and pets. Pieces of the path are granite dirt. Plenty of space to hang out, throw a ball, have a picnic.

I was staying in a nearby Airbnb and decided to walk this urban trail from end to end. Gorgeous and unique views. I felt comfortable and safe walking on my own but warning - there are homeless camped along the way. Took me about an hour to walk the entire trail at a slow pace. Worth the time if you want to experience a local walkabout.

Hidden gem in the middleof East Austin. A beautiful easy trail you walk, run or bike. Dogs are welcome, signage along the way. Crosses two beautiful bridges, a community garden, a subtrail along the water and a metro crossing station.
