Walked in without a reservation and it was full. I asked about the rooftop and they got us in. The ground floor is a sure to behold for art deco lovers. The rooftop was breezy and still quite pretty. Best Sea Bass I've ever had in my life. Great service.

We came to Born and Raised for my husband’s birthday and had another amazing experience. The dry-aged bone-in ribeye was cooked exactly as ordered (medium rare plus) and had incredible flavor. We shared baked mac & cheese, dirty hashbrowns, potato au gratin, marrow with escargot, and everything was rich and satisfying—though the au gratin was saltier than usual. Drinks were excellent—French 75 was refreshing, the mojito was spot-on, and the espresso martini was strong but enjoyable. Service was outstanding, and the birthday macaron at the end was a thoughtful touch. This isn’t our first visit and definitely won’t be our last. Four stars for now, with full confidence they’ll earn a five next time.

The ambience of the upstairs dining area is amazing, the food is incredible and the service is exceptional. Great cocktail menu too. Ordered the burgundy snails, Cesar salad and the dry aged bone in NY strip. It was all fantastic! One note of caution unrelated to the restaurant itself: DO NOT use the valet at the restaurant next door to park your car.

If you're looking for a great meal and dining experience, look no further. We made reservations ahead of time (highly recommended). The decor is immaculate as soon as you step in. They have an extensive bar and drink menu with something for everyone. I went with a whiskey smash, my date went with an espresso martini. Both were exceptional. There isn't a dress code, so you can come as fancy or as casual as you'd like. For our meal, we went with the table side Caesar salad, steak sampler for 2, and dirty hash browns. FYI sides are not included with entreés. The dressing is made right in front of you and the staff tells you what's in it as they are making it. The sampler gives you a little bit of everything including American and Japanese wagyu. The dirty hash browns were probably my favorite. They have a creamy sauce, chives, and trout roe. I definitely recommend leaving the dish as it comes, the roe doesn't have a fishy taste like you'd expect. At the end of the meal you're given a complementary macron. We also went with the cheesecake for dessert. Other desserts they have are a seven layer carrot cake, chocolate cake, baked Alaska, and a table side build your own Sunday. Their desserts change regularly so be prepared for that. Upstairs they have outdoor seating and a rooftop bar, with superb views of downtown San Diego. Our waiter Chris was super helpful and very knowledgeable with his recommendations. 10/10 would recommend. The bathrooms were an an experience all on their own, and they are just as classy as the rest of the restaurant. The only negative I have is the additional 4% surcharge they add on top of the prices, and the menu doesn't explain why.
