Great casual place to catch live entertainment! Can't comment on the food because I've never ordered anything to eat as yet nor seen a wait staff person offer a menu which is no surprise since it's a no frills yet charming hole in the wall place that has great live entertainment on the weekends. There's also a DJ playing cool 80s throwbacks on the night I was there and an outdoor patio. No cover charge. Saw @carlosandtheexperience there, and they rocked! Other bands I've seen I've enjoyed as well. This band had superior musicianship and dynamics and featured a brass section. It's a small venue which adds a certain charm, but it can get crowded sometimes. Best part is that the live band usually plays later here than at other local bars. You can literally do a pub crawl as there are several other venues with live entertainment within walking distance. Highly recommend this legendary bar!

We visited Bougainville for the first time to celebrate a friend’s birthday. The drinks were good, bar tenders were a hit or miss. The atmosphere was vibrant yet relaxing, and the music—both inside and outside—was on point. The combination of great vibes and a stylish setting made it a memorable night. Definitely a cool spot worth revisiting!

One of South Miami's last remaining dives. This bar is reliable, affordable, and has so much character you could get lost looking at the decor. The bar can get packed during later hours but the happy hour is a deal that's hard to beat anywhere else in the area. It's easy to become a regular is you work or live in the area

This is a great little hangout spot in south Miami where you can meet locals and tourists alike. Drinks are reasonably price, on top happy hour deals. Great music! Live bands are constantly scheduled to play, as well as a dj. They're days slower than others. But the days when this bar get more traffic don't be surprised when the party spills out to the front and back patios. Friendly service ask for Lulu she is phenomenal!! Always making me feel at home. If your new in town or just visiting I would recommend you come to this establishment, because Bougainvillea aka Bougies is always a good time!
