I’d love to have given this course and experience five-stars, which it was, until the turn, when we encountered the assistant golf pro. The course’s final five holes were under construction, and we were instructed to play 10-14 if we pleased (by the actual golf pro) so we politely stopped into the pro shop to check if this still stands given the tee times. We were abruptly stopped by this woman, whose first quip was “do you have any decency playing at a 2:20 pace on the front?” we apologized, and mentioned no one was behind us, and in fact, we let a group of 2 play through. A 2:20 time for 13 holes is far from egregious as she had made it seem, her attitude and bully mentality persisted. She said we had “pushed our luck, and should be careful” now relegated to play the par-three course, we did three holes, before her cart came out and proceeded to follow us on each drive, to each green, and eventually until we turned it in for the evening thanks to her unprovoked aggression. Mind you, there were 4 other carts on the backside par 3. We each had one drink on the course, and enjoyed every second until this stubborn/senile assistant made it her job to bully us. As we left, she instructed us that we weren’t allowed to walk through the club, and must take the road out, which she then proceeded to follow us again. I hope her position is filled by someone with decency towards others and a semblance of professionalism that she overtly lacks.
