Can’t say enough about this place. Awesome variety of bouldering for all ages, good sized gym/fitness area, yoga classes, cafe, WiFi, clean and not too crowded even on weekends. I was visiting from out of town with my 4 year old son and he had so much fun we went back for a second day. I had the pleasure of meeting Kobe - one of the employees. Kobe was awesome and super helpful and kind. Lastly, a buddy of mine has been a life long climber and he is a member there; a ringing endorsement.

I have been a member of sbp for almost 2 years and it’s been my favorite gym I’ve ever been to. SBP does an incredible job of building community. I have made so many friends since my intro to bouldering class, yoga, and strength training classes. I always meet someone new or an established friend at the cafe. SBP makes fitness fun and engaging not only for my body but for my brain. I love doing the problems and watching myself level up on the walls. My favorite part about SBP are the classes. Billy in particular who heads the fitness program has been encouring in the strength and conditioning classes, which I was hesitant to join at first because I never did a class like that before but now I love it and love pushing myself. Douglas who teaches yoga is one of the most knowledgeable practitioners I have known. I am a practicing Hindu and appreciate the respect, knowledge, and care he brings to the practice. The best part of his beautiful harmonium during meditation. I would recommend anyone to SBP who wants to have FUN in movement and finding their fitness journey. I never identified as someone who was athletic and driven in my physical practice until I started coming to SBP and I am so grateful.

Poplar: most variety of routes, large area with lots of gym equipment, plenty of yoga and fitness classes, plenty of parking, sauna separated by gender, only location w a cafe, large dedicated work areas, towels/shampoo/conditioner/body wash provided UW: 2nd best for variety of routes, small workout area with a limited selection of equipment, unisex sauna, only location w ice bath, dedicated area to work work, towels/shampoo/conditioner/body wash provided, parking difficult to come by, yoga and meditation classes available, don’t think there are fitness classes here, looks like the only location w Pilates class Fremont main: 3rd best for variety of routes, gym + equipment is slighter bigger than UW but less than Poplar, no sauna, a small area to WFH, fitness and yoga classes available, towels not provided, and the handicap shower stall is the only one w shampoo/conditioner/body wash while the others have a 3-in-1 wash, parking hard to come by Fremont upper walls: 4th best in route variety cause it’s smaller than all the other locations, which means it doesn’t smell like feet and sweat, smallest workout area + equipment selection, don’t see yoga and fitness classes offered here, no showers, no dedicated work area to work Loads of community events for adults and kids :) Deducting a star cause 1. the ventilation system needs improvement for all locations except the upper walls. Smells like sweat and feet. Difficult to tackle because all locations are very busy except for upper walls. 2. for the hefty price that goes up often, i hope staff is getting a living wage ($25-30/hr), buuuuut something tells me they don’t
