Brushy Creek Greenbelt is a special place. It is beautiful and tranquil as well as offering a lot to do. My only concern has been that housing and construction has been creeping in on it particularly over the last 5 years. Still it is a great place to walk, bike, sit or play. Beauty is all around from the creek and natural fauna. It is a little oasis.

Our favorite place to go for a walk..the trailhead on the staked plains loop is walkable distance from my house. From the trailhead, I walk towards to the YMCA and the lake. I prefer this trail over the one that leads you towards the soccer fields. Either way, it's a serene, peaceful and a safe trail if you are looking for a solo/ family time.

For those in the Cedar Park area, this trail takes away any reason to go to the lady bird lake trail. Part is paved, some is gravel. There’s a creek. There’s a lake for kayaking (with kayaks to rent) & fishing. There are multiple parks along the trail. The parks have sport courts, a skateboard park, dinosaur bone digging area, splash pad, bocce ball, play gyms, a pool & so much more. People walk, run & bike (road & mountain) on this trail. I walk the same 4 miles 2x a week and always see something new. Check this place out! It is amazing.
