The fear in their face. I get a few of the staff has been working here for years and now feel they call the shots on who can eat there or not. There were 2 young males eating there and they didn’t seem to be in a rush to eat their food. They seem comfortable eating and playing around. It’s good that the staff know whom to fear. Today, I took my toddler there for a meal. They were busy like normal during lunch, but I had never struggled to find a table before. However, as I waited in line today, I noticed that larger parties behind me in line kept getting tables as they opened. After ordering, I searched for a spot but had no luck. At six months pregnant, holding my two-year-old and two drinks, I went back to the counter and let the man who I ordered from know there were no open tables. The man at the register simply shrugged his shoulders at me and continued taking orders—no offer to help, nor did he ask any other employee to help me. When I finally found a table, I sat down and got emotional. I wanted to leave, but I didn’t have the courage to ask that same employee, still at the register, for a refund.
