Great Burlington! Wow. In the past week I have visited almost all of the Burlington locations in San Diego looking for a specific backpack. I haven’t been lucky finding the backpack but I wanted to take the time to recognize this particular location for their excellent, clean, and organized store. Not only that, their amazing security guys who double as store greeters. Both security guards inside and outside the store said hello and welcomed us into Burlington. We walked all the aisles looking for backpacks. If you’ve ever visited a Burlington you know things can be in several locations. We saw all the aisles and I was honestly blown away by the contrast between other stores and this store. Bravo to everyone working here. On my way out I stopped and told the guard how great the store looked. He laughed and said they thought it could look better. Then the nice guard outside said “Thanks for visiting, blessings to you and the family”. We didn’t even buy anything! We left with blessings. My husband looked at me and said “THIS is our store.” I agree, going forward I’m going to check this location first. Managers from other Burlington locations should come here to see what they’ve done to the aisles. In my opinion, this location sets the example for Burlington as a brand. Corporate, if you’re seeing this, give this store some recognition. Including the super nice security guards!

Laura , Luis , Karen , Maria , Rosi ,Norma , Iman , Virginia , Daisy , Jorge , Alejandra , Reek , Daniel , Amarani , Ebony , Patty , Alex , Ricardo , Teiara,Edbetti all to just name a few that I have encountered during my shopping over several months have all gone above and beyond for me . All of them are the true reason I come back each week , month , year to shop as I never take for granted the consumers experience and I have always been highly satisfied.

It was frustrating and embarrassing, especially since I had already gone through the proper checkout process. This issue needs to be addressed—whether it’s a problem with the security tags or the sensors, it should be fixed to avoid inconveniencing customers.

My Burlington visit was frustrating due to unacceptable cash wait times. Clear understaffing and poor break scheduling were issues. Cashier Jerrious lacked urgency. Leadership is failing. The manager showed no urgency or positive presence, poorly handling lines. Leadership isn't setting standards; seeing an employee's low pants/backside was unprofessional, reflecting management not "being leaders," just friends. Even the security guard's "hey, hey, hey" exit lacked polish (my annoyed response aside). Customer experience matters, discount store or not. Management lacks pride and must fix staffing, urgency, professionalism, and lead by example. These basic retail issues are clear and need immediate action. I understand retail and these failures are apparent.
