The vibe in this bar is incredible. Every time in the neighborhood I have to stop there!

Great neighborhood tavern that opened in 1933. There used to be places like this all over the city, now they are few & far between. Get a wonderful flavor of old time Chicago in this vintage gin mill.

This place is tweaking. Must’ve been bouncer’s first day of working or was just on a power trip but girl in front of me got denied and she insisted it was real and then he let her in. Then my boyfriend (who is 23) got denied and the bouncer insisted he could only get it back if he paid $40. I threatened to call 911 and then he finally gave it back. Bouncer didn’t even have a scanner.. bro must think he is gifted at spotting fakes or smth

The place was jam packed! The bartender seemed a little impatient.... The sign says 35 and over... but it seemed to be a bunch of college kids. But they do offer good cheap drinks and free popcorn 🍿.

Thinking of visiting during the weekend? Think again! My bf and I wanted to have a drink and enjoy the atmosphere which reminded me a lot of a college bar but they were completely packed like sardines. The bar was filled wall to wall with people. I understand that this may happen on a Saturday night but they should at least have some limit of people that can be inside at one time. It was a waste of time to even enter and try to maneuver around people to get the attention of a waitress or bar tender for a drink.
