Cafe de L'Opera is a distinguished historic café located directly opposite Barcelona's Gran Teatre del Liceu, embodying a cherished meeting point steeped in Catalan Art Nouveau elegance. We ordered the salmon bagel and the avocado toast with a poached egg, both were good. The service was friendly, and we really enjoyed the food overall. I wasn’t a big fan of the cappuccino, as it lacked foam and the coffee was a bit too strong for my taste. But aside from that, everything else was good

We had the Chanel sandwich which lacked flavor. A little salt would have gone a long way. The included cream cheese was severely lacking, making the entire sandwich a bland protein loaf. Matcha latte was also bland. French vanilla coffee was alright, but I still got charged the full price for both drinks despite the sandwich including a coffee, which was confirmed by the staff before ordering. I should have mentioned something after seeing the charge, but the staff didn't explain anything despite my question. Also all of the pastries have no price listed, forcing you to ask the staff how much each item is. Some small improvements would go a long way for this place, but unfortunately I will not be returning.

Light and airy breakfast place, lovely high ceilings, great food. My salmon/cream cheese bagel was fresh & piled with salmon. The others with me were equally enthusiastic about their choices. Nice, friendly staff. Definitely worth a visit!

The highest quality, espresso and latte with complementary pastries in San Diego for Comic Con! I come here every morning for the past five years. It's a real treasure here in the gas lamp.
