While the drinks were decent, the atmosphere and environment of the cafe was not. I walked in the other day and the temperature indoors versus outdoors was like night and day. It was so hot and stuffy. There was a fan in the corner that barely did anything. The restroom felt like the heater was turned on. If the AC was broken, there was no sign or other additional accommodations to help with the unusual heat. There was nobody on the kiosk outside of the staff delivering drinks up to the front. If you had issues or questions with anything, like asking for a cup of water, there wasn't anyone to ask. Nobody answered when I knocked on the staff door, nobody was visible through the partially open door into the kitchen. The rest of the reviews on the cafe are positive so I wonder if these things are just a temporary thing. Just something to keep in mind if anybody is visiting around this time.

I got a cherry milk tea and wasn't sure what to expect cause I've never drank something cherry flavor and it was better than I thought, but I don't think it was for me. I did enjoy drinking in the shop though, it felt relaxing to sit in the shop

Totally in love with this cozy little spot in Seattle! Cafe Happy really lives up to the name. Such a warm, welcoming vibe and the friendliest staff ever. The drinks are super well-made, and the Buns sooo good. It’s the perfect place to chill, get some work done, or hang out with friends. Definitely a must if you’re in town!

I have never left a review for a store before, but the egg with rice and the chicken broccoli was so bad it should be classified as a hate crime. The chicken had so much sauce that it was drowning in it yet it was so unflavored and rubbery. The picture on the menu compared to the actual dish was legitimately worse than getting catfished. They called it “chicken broccoli” with zero notice about how it is vegan, and even if it was vegan it gives it no excuse for how genuinely terrible the food was anyways. Even for vegan food the food is genuinely scarring on how terrible it tasted. I have never seen anyone mess up chicken broccoli with rice before and this blows it out of the water for terrible food. The rice dishes here were genuinely the worst dishes i have ever eaten in my life by a long shot. The boba here is often times clumped into solid blocks and struggle to go through the straw.

It is great to see Cafe Happy is serving hot vegan food again. Same great taste as it was in Kirkland, but at a much, much larger space with plenty of tables and chairs. Both the ma po tofu and chicken broccoli were excellent. The location is less busy than the main University Avenue area, so it is easier to find close by parking if you drive. It is of course very close to main campus of UW. Keep in mind that everything is cook to order, and is created by one person behind the counter. Be patient and you will be rewarded with the best vegan Chinese food in town. It is a great place to hang out with friends or just get a drink, some food, and study away.
