You have serious soccer games, hardcore basketball, a real skate park, and room to run your dog. This is a very beautiful park up on Capital Hill. There are tennis courts, beautifully manicured soccer pitches. There are free public bathrooms, but I wouldn't recommend using them unless you absolutely have to ( pretty nasty ). There's a huge working water fountain and plenty of places to sit or lie on the grass if you're so inclined. The bad is there are a lot of unsweetened individuals here ( plenty of tents ), a open drug sales and use. Parking is paid onstreet and not much available. If you're looking for a safe place to take your kids, or love ones I'd avoid this place. Plenty of aggressive people here to say the least. If the city cleaned up the atmosphere this place has potential to be a great public park.

My friend Mercer got smoked hoopin there bro so I can't help but think of that every single time that iam here. He was 6'3 220 solid athlete and wasn't scared to fight. Had to get pushed to that point. By years of Rapture. It blows my mind that a person like that who shot him gets away with it. The truth is that young man's life is on a trajectory from his actions in the universe. That park is across from Seattle central. Late teenager years for me had this location ping'D. The jimi hendrix statue is right there. The soccer field is magnificent. Hopefully nobody needs to use the Potty because there is 30 people in there in various stages in drug abuse. Very dangerous for children to be around.
