We had a great dinner here couple of weeks ago. Lucky were able to get a sit beside the piano without a reservation. The service staff are excellent and were kind enough to offer us the set menu. However, I’d still suggest making a reservation as they said this doesn’t happen unless someone from the reservation backs out. Our favourite dishes for the night was the pork belly, kalbi beef, and the citrus parfait. The rest was average tbh. They also serve vegetarian set menu for our in-law. Cocktail drinks and wine are well done. Ambiance is just the best one I’ve been to in Seattle. I would recommend this place without a doubt! Service parking is available and these guys are the best.

Finally visited Canlis and we're looking forward to future seasons. Elevated atmosphere and flawless service: welcoming, knowledgeable, and genuinely attentive. Menus were thoughtfully curated, beautifully plated, and tasty! Every course of the menu felt well balanced. My favorite from the night was the Halibaut and the Cherry Bomb dessert.

It's been 7 years since I last visited Canlis, but I wanted to pay homage to the owner and executive chef before they pass the torch in April. The menu was entirely new, but appointed with interesting and well executed flavor combinations. To start was a tempura battered oyster mushroom and yuzu with caviar amuse bouche. My first course was the sturgeon with chive oil and a delicate cream which was my favorite of the three. Second was the sea bream in Walla Walla onion consumé which came with two incredible sides. One was a caramelized parsnip with nori and the other was potato in a rich salmon foam. Those really stole the show, but the sea bream was prepared perfectly. Finally, I ended with the apple cruller. The oat ice cream with granola was almost better than the culler. My dinner mates thoroughly enjoyed the duck and wagyu. The nula pie one of them had was by far my favorite of the desserts (not pictured). Overall, Canlis continues to deliver a delightful dining experience. Hopefully under new direction it will remain just as enjoyable.
