Afternoon tea is super cute here. I enjoyed the leisure of this and the fact that you can order various teas instead of just one (Brown Hotel only allows one choice, ugh). I highly recommend this experience for anyone who enjoys tea and afternoon tea.

March 2025 Street parking proved challenging, even on a Saturday. Our reservation was honored, and our table was impeccably set. The tea selection was extensive, and while the tea itself was unlimited, the accompanying finger foods were not. Our server was courteous and provided excellent service. Capital Tea is delightful. Come here for the tea experience and I suggest making a reservation. The place is adorable and well decorated. The staff are friendly and very accommodating. The spring teas and sweets are spectacular, but I also recommend coming in the wintertime. Capital tea has a great selection. Their Oolong teas are my favorite. Prices are reasonable and well worthwhile. You can also visit the shop and buy teas without sitting down. Parking is street parking on S Broadway, but I've never had a hard time parking close.

It's strangely hard to find a good place for tea (that isn't outrageously expensive), but this place went over and beyond. Way surpassing my expectations! They have a wide variety of tea leaves, a ton I've never heard of (so I'll definitely be back to try them all!) and the staff are VERY knowledgeable. When I was unsure of what to get, she explained the different leaves and their taste profiles in such detail (and YES! allowing you to smell them)...I loved every moment of it! And the place is soooo cute! I only took a picture of one table but I want to go back and spend a lot more time there! And truly experience the vibe of this place in it's entirety!
