My son, who just turned 14, has worked with Coach Andrey for private classes, and Coach David for group classes, for almost two years now. Our experience with Cardinal Fencing Club has consistently been stellar. My son was a complete beginner when he started, and while he really wanted to do fencing, he was quite nervous. He got to do a trial class, and then also got to borrow equipment in the beginning, while figuring out if fencing was for him, which we really appreciated. The coaches were both incredibly atoned to what he needed to feel comfortable, and to succeed, and he loves his classes, and has learned so much. We don’t live close to the school, but it is 100% worth the drive. The move of the school from the Stanford campus was great for us, the new facilities are great (space for parents to wait during classes, for example), easy access from the 101, and parking there is super easy (not always the case at Stanford). In summary, I can’t recommend Cardinal Fencing highly enough.
