Austin has some great public tennis facilities and Caswell is among the best. I hate their system for booking courts, which should be updated and fixed. I actually preferred it better when you had to call in by phone at 8:45 in the morning. But the courts are good, the lighting is excellent, and they provide ice.

The best tennis center in Austin by a mile. The longtime owner is a great guy and cares about the business, he is there all the time and makes sure things are taken care of, he has pride in the facility and it shows. The pros and shop staff have all been there for a while, low turnover is a sign of good management. I’ve attended many events there as well, they create a great sense of community at Caswell. Their rules, cancellation polices etc. are fair and they make me feel like a valued customer. This is the complete opposite of the other public facilities in town. The booking site is definitely dated, but in a strange way I find it sort of adds to the charm and old school vibe !!

Great place, well maintained, and conveniently located (for me, at least) off N Lamar. Love that people are helpful on the phone. Truth be told, the best part of Caswell is Jonathan. He’s so helpful with picking rackets and strings, and his knowledge base is bar none. Also, if I need racket or string recommendations, or any information about the tennis center and court times, etc., he will be helpful. It’s always a pleasure interacting with Jonathan which elevates my experience at Caswell. Thanks Jonathan! Thanks Caswell! 🙏 ❤️

Unfortunately giving a 1-star as we scheduled a private lesson with the pro John and he never showed up. Later said he couldn't get the key, but he only let us know hours after us texting him repeatedly and then giving up waiting on an empty court. This is a really well maintained site with great tournaments. But I'm not sure if I will be confident enough again to book lessons there...
