One would expect a certain level of respect, helpfulness, compassion, and kindness towards homeless individuals seeking assistance and resources. However, this is not always the case. On Saturdays, this Catholic Charities location provides essential items such as hot coffee, lunch, clothing, shoes, toiletries, blankets, and occasionally backpacks to homeless individuals. While these services are commendable, the treatment of homeless individuals by some volunteers is not. Specifically, one volunteer appears to consistently favor certain immigrant individuals over others, particularly women. Despite respectful communication, this volunteer exhibits a poor attitude. Furthermore, even when individuals arrive early and wait in line, they are often overlooked in favor of this volunteer's preferred individuals, who receive preferential access to the best clothing and shoes. Additionally, some of the older ladies volunteering at this location are also unwilling to assist with obtaining clothing and shoes, often citing unjustified reasons, such as accusing individuals of standing outside the line. Meanwhile, they continue to serve their favored individuals outside of the established line. Lots of hateful discrimination coming from the volunteer. Not all of them but most of them. Beware, this may cause you more harm than good to go up there on Saturdays.

I wouldn't come here unless you have Medicaid benefits. For a non profit facility is incredible how much they charge per appointment. Also, the office itself doesn't even have secretary or staff to greet you.

Downtown Location’s Very Professional & They’re Part Of The Solution, Definitely Not Part Of The Problem. I Wish That Location Could Assist Me Because They Have Utmost Respect, Are Understanding Of My physical cognitive disabilities and they treat me the way they want their own grandmother treated as well. It’s hard to get return calls from Catholic charity in my neighborhood of Gage Park.

Can I begin by saying this company doesnt associate with God. The devil is in charge and business is good. They will make every step from moving in to moving out a hassle. You will get no help only told to pull yourself up by your boot straps. All except one I've met are rude and look down on you absolutely disgusting. Do not send someone you love to them. Don't even send your enemies
