Scott and Will, the teachers, will tell you that they aren't "masters," but they have great knowledge and skill. And they continue to learn and grow. There's so much to study in Chen-style tai chi, including the famous empty-hand forms and weapon forms, as well as push hands. Scott and Will can teach all of this. They're both great teachers, too. Since I was a child I have had an anxiety disorder in addition to a family history of heart disease, high blood pressure and cancer. Upon meeting Scott and Will who lead the class I was very impressed with their dedication, skill and training as well as their passion to teach us. I also really enjoyed how they push us to work on our Tai Chi form, but I never feel pressured in any way. They allow everyone to train and grow at their own pace. Scott and Will are remarkable Tai Chi teachers, and I don’t say that lightly because I am a master educator myself. Everyone who shows up consistently to class grows in their Tai Chi form and practice. I have learned a ton about Tai Chi from Scott, Will and everyone in class. As a result, Tai Chi has given me the ability to better manage my physical, emotional and mental health. I can’t even begin to explain how much the training and practice that we do in class prepared and helped me through the pandemic.
