Do not schedule any boating event with this company. Terrible customer service and there's a good chance they don't even show up like they did for our group. Three days later and no one has been in touch and no word on a refund. It's not worth trying to get on the water if it's with this group. We had a charter that was cancelled due to weather on 7/19. We were told over the phone we’d get a full refund within 3-5 business days. My husband called after 5 business days and we were told it was being forwarded to accounting and we’d receive an email with details and get our refund. It’s now a full two weeks later and we still do not have our money back. No one will answer the phone, or call us back, or respond to an email. When he did talk to someone on the phone she was extremely rude and unfriendly. It’s the most abysmal customer service experience I’ve ever had.

We were called an hour before our reservation to be told the charter was cancelled due to weather- we diverted to the beach where it is partly sunny, with a light 7mph breeze and smooth water- see photos… Not sure why our $1500 non refundable reservation was cancelled tonight. This review is about my experience dealing with the groupon for this company. I had purchased the groupon for the tiki pontoon boat and had checked the restrictions on the groupon multiple times. No where did it say it was ONLY FOR THE 7PM-10PM pontoon boat. BEWARE of this if you plan to use the groupon because it was not listed on groupon nor does it say that anywhere on the chicago tiki boat website. Because this information was not provided, when I went to book the boat the voucher was "invalid". The groupon said to redeem the voucher bring it upon arrival, which made me believe I wouldn't get the groupon honored until the day of our booking, which was fine with me. I went ahead and booked the tiki boat without the voucher code, thinking it would be redeemed upon arrival like the groupon said. I wanted to follow up with the company though just to make sure there would be no surprises day of. The person I spoke to on the phone was not friendly. When I explained the situation, she told me it was a groupon issue and to take it up with them even though it did not say anything on their website that they only honor the groupon for a specific time slot. She was not apologetic and did not care what I had to say. I then cancelled my booking because if this is the customer service prior to the actual experience then I do not want to see what it would be like day of. Luckily, my booking was farther than 30 days out so I should be getting a full refund. For all of those who are using groupon on please know it is ONLY FOR THE 7PM-10PM TIME SLOT.
