Great place to get exercise, learn self defense and mindful tai chi. Strange but true, This is where I choose to have my “me time”!!!. Fellow students are great, fun loving, relax but also disciplined. Sifu is one brilliant and patient guy, doesn’t matter which part of the form or which form you ask him or how many time you ask him, he always answer with smiles. My family and I have been coming to the Chinese Shao-Lin Center of Raleigh for almost 2 years now. There is never a dull moment and while we are genuinely practicing a great art, there is a lot of laughter and fun too. Everyone is incredibly supportive of each other. Sifu Mo is quite brilliant. His capacity for remembering all of the forms off the cuff when randomly asked, is astounding. He is patient, firm, knowledgeable and kind. I will happily recommend this school to anyone of any age or physical ability. It might not even be the Kung Fu that keeps you here, it may just be tai-chi. There is a lot on offer and there is enough to keep you very busy.

My daughters and husband all attend here. They started with a free month. They do tai chi and Kung Fu for 13/mth per person for 3 days a week, 1.5 hours each day! The value is outstanding and the teacher (shi fu) is a monk, so the price is greatly reduced. My husband has done a variety of martial arts and is really enjoying the quiet, focused atmosphere. Great for ALL ages!

My family and I have been going for more than 3 years... and love it! We were previously in tae kwon do and hap ki do for 7 years, and then at another kung fu school for a year; this has been a great leap forward. Constantly learning new styles, forms, weapons, techniques... and it's a great mind, body, spirit balance. Self-paced in the way that you decide when you want to test to new belt levels. With the variety of what's offered, we're never bored, that's for sure, and it's a great workout! Great Sifu, laid back and yet very knowledgeable and dedicated. And we have a great pool of peers we enjoy practicing with!
