Where do I even begin? City Cycle has completely revolutionized my relationship with fitness. Coming from someone who has always struggled with their body and confidence, City Cycle’s team and instructors have all been so welcoming, loving, relatable, and kind. After retiring from being a ballerina my whole childhood, I didn’t understand fitness, gyms, etc. It was all so intimidating and scary. After 5 years in Seattle, finding this community changed my life, and my relationship with fitness couldn’t be better. If you like music, concerts, raves, high energy, and/or community, I highly recommend the classes here. I cannot get nearly as good of a workout on my own in a quiet gym, if you like rhythm riding this is the place! Some of my favorite instructors I recommend for beginners and experts alike are James B., Ali Wall, Katie P., Alicia Rice, Mario, and Carena! However, I think I’ve had the pleasure to meet them all now and can recommend every member of the team! 🫶

The best cycling studio, period! The instructors are so friendly, the classes are so fun, and the studio itself is so clean and welcoming. I’ve been going for a few years and it is the highlight of my day every time I visit. New riders are always welcomed in with open arms. I highly recommend checking it out, you won’t regret it!

City Cycle has been like my second home since I moved back to Seattle in late 2017 and took my first class with Chris Blackburn. It would take me five years before I was even willing to consider trying out another studio in the city, since I was so hooked on City Cycle from day one. Indoor cycling studios can be intimidating spaces when you're new to spin or group workout classes, but City Cycle isn't that way at all. It is inclusive and welcoming and the community is absolutely incredible and unlike any other fitness studio I've ever been to. The instructors are fantastic, the classes are engaging, motivating, and challenging, and I think City Cycle represents what spin studios SHOULD be: fun, challenging, inclusive, a judgment-free zone, and 100% a party on a bike. I'm so glad they are still around while so many spin studios closed their doors in the pandemic.

How does City Cycle support groups of varying skills and ages?

City Cycle excels in inclusivity, making it an ideal venue for groups composed of riders with varied skills and ages. From children trying their first pedal strokes to seasoned cyclists looking for advanced bikes, the store’s inventory and staff expertise cater to all demographics. Specialized bikes like kids’ models, cruisers, mountain bikes, and electric bikes ensure that no one is left out due to a mismatch in equipment or difficulty. This wide selection is crucial for group meetups because it means everyone can participate comfortably and safely.

The staff at City Cycle also prioritize fitting visitors with the right bike and providing guidance tailored to each person’s needs. This personalized attention helps build confidence among novice cyclists and enhances the ride experience for veterans alike, contributing to group cohesion and enjoyment.

Moreover, City Cycle often hosts skill-appropriate group rides which segment riders according to pace or difficulty, preventing frustration among less experienced members while keeping the outing challenging and fun for experts.
