City Farmers Nursery City Farmers Nursery is a 1.5-acre space that extends into a canyon, offering a diverse selection of plants, including bonsai, cacti, succulents, and more common garden varieties. Beyond the plants, the nursery functions almost like an open-air educational space, with farm animals such as goats, turtles, and a donkey adding to its unique atmosphere. The layout makes it easy to explore, and the variety of offerings means there’s something for both casual gardeners and serious horticulturists. If you’re looking for a nursery that combines a wide selection with a community-oriented approach, this is worth a visit. While you’re there, stop by Nate’s Garden Cafe for a meal.

The staff is extremely kind and helpful! Especially their carnivorous plant handler. She was informative and helped answer many of my questions for my new plant. I got a repot done and a new nepenthes pitcher. Definitely will be returning! Thanks for making the experience a great one😃

This place was so cool! It was so big and peaceful. There were so many animals and the prettiest trees. There was a cute cat too! Highly recommend 10/10. They have a farm to table restaurant too!

If you interested in turning your small patio or large expanse of a lawn into an urban orchid or native sanctuary this is the place to go! Everyone of the staff are super knowledgeable and friendly! Show up and plan to lose your day in their urban oasis, between the plants, the live animals (that look so spoiled and happy I want to come back as one of them), the restaurant (that has live music) and the flower shop that also sells arts and clothing made by local artists, it's easy to spend a day here.

This is the best nursery I've found in San Diego so far! Huge selection of plants, and the workers were very helpful. They also sell live lady bugs, which is what I originally came for. I left with my lady bugs and so much more. 💚🪻
