⭐️ 0 Stars ⭐️ I would not recommend Dallas Park and Recreation programs to anyone. My daughter, Journii, was injured twice while in their care—once in the after-school program and again in the summer camp program. Both times she sustained serious cuts to her hands that required stitches. Instead of properly handling the situation, staff only placed a bandaid on an injury that clearly needed immediate medical attention. One incident required 4 stitches, and in both cases, we had to seek outside medical care ourselves. The most disappointing part is that the item that caused her injury was provided by the program, yet Dallas Park and Recreation, along with the City of Dallas Risk Management Department, have refused to take any responsibility. They have denied both claims and left us with medical bills for injuries that happened while my child was in their custody. This shows a complete lack of accountability, safety, and proper training for their employees. I would never trust them with my child again, and I urge other parents to reconsider before enrolling their children in any of these programs.

The reservation system is archaic and the people on the phone are completely unhelpful. In contrast, Irving P&R and Arlington P&R have clear instructions online, an online reservation system, and the people I spoke with on the phone were pleasant and informative. Please join the 21st century. Also can we please get some actual restroom facilities in the parks and not just port-a-potties? While some individual parks are great, the whole system is a poor reflection on Dallas.
